The Gabriel Project 501c3 exists to financially support organizations that serve pregnant women in need, be it the Gabriel Project KC ministry or any other non-affiliated organization in the greater metropolitan area of Kansas City. Funds are disbursed at the discretion of the Board. The following Board Members are volunteering their time and expertise to support this organization:

Father Vince Rogers
Father Rogers was ordained in 1993 and is a priest of the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph. He is a staunch pro-life advocate and has served in various assignments in and around Kansas City. He is presently serving as pastor of Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish and School in Gladstone.

Deacon Doug Hemke
Deacon Doug Hemke was ordained in 2011 in Kansas City by Bishop Robert Finn. He has served in two parishes in the Jefferson City diocese along with two parishes in our diocese. He is currently assigned to St Robert Bellarmine Parish in Blue Springs. Doug is married with two children and five grandchildren.

Deacon Kevin Cummings
Deacon Kevin Cummings was ordained in the Diocese of Kansas City- St Joseph, but is currently assigned to the Archdiocese of Kansas City Kansas. Deacon Kevin is one of three Deacons at Cure’ of Ars Parish in Kansas. Prior to retirement, Deacon Kevin, practiced Dentistry in Missouri for nearly forty years before concentrating much of his efforts in the Ministry of Respect Life issues.
He is married with five grown children and eleven grandchildren that he spends a great deal of time with. The Gabriel Project has consumed much of his Mission work in the past few years, along with Project Rachel outreach programs for both Diocese.
Deacon Kevin loves the work of the Deacons in his Dioceses, and is making strides to better organize the Ministries of Deacons into a Community of Deacons who emphasize ProLife initiatives.

Kenneth P. Woodward, C.P.A
Ken Woodward, is president and managing partner of Woodward Hunt & Associates, C.P.A.’s, P.C., a local accounting firm with a total of ten employees in Overland Park, Kansas. He has over 45 years of experience in providing accounting, income tax and financial planning services to small businesses and their owners and families.

Andrea Spencer
Andrea Spencer is currently a stay at home mother of two girls. Andrea received a bachelors degree in social work from Park University in Missouri. She worked at Salvation Army Children’s Shelter for 5 years. There she worked with children and families in crisis and in the Children Custody Division. She has also worked as a Montessori teacher at two Catholic schools in Roeland Park, Kansas. Andrea has been involved in adoption in the state of Kansas and Missouri.
Andrea has seen firsthand how much support and love is needed during a crisis. She has also seen how communities come together to support those in need.

Matt Spencer
Matthew (Matt) Spencer is a father of two girls. He has a degree from Kansas State University in business marketing. Matt is currently working inside sales in a large trucking company. Matt is also a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Matt has been involved in adoption in Kansas and Missouri. Matt understands the importance of helping those in crisis in our community.

Ann Marie Alvey
Ann Marie joined the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas in their Pro-Life Office in July 2018. She is the Coordinator of two Pro-Life Ministries: Project Rachel/Joseph and Gabriel Project KC. Ann Marie earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts from St. Mary’s College of California, and subsequently got a Master of Arts Degree in their Counseling Program three years later.
Prior to joining the Pro-Life Office, she was trained in and taught Catechesis of the Good Shepherd to children ages 3-12 yrs for almost twenty years. In addition she is a Spiritual Mentor, trained by the Apostles of the Interior Life and School of Faith in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in KS. She and her husband live in Kansas City, KS and have five children.
